[In-person tour] Central Park – the country’s first landscaped public park – set the standard for city parks across the nation with nearly 30 artworks. On this tour, we’ll explore the artworks on the southern perimeter of the park including: a sculpture that was so blindingly gold that New Yorkers complained; a sculpture that Italian Americans fought to be removed from the list of “Hateful Monuments;” a gift from the people of Hamburg, Germany; and the 2024/25 contemporary installation in the Doris C. Freedman Plaza by Edra Soto.
For all tours, there are no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges unless we cancel a tour. Online registration closes one hour prior to the tour start time.
